how many monitors Can you add?

Most computers can run dual monitors. But if you want to add a third screen or more monitors, how should you configure all your screens? Please keep in mind that I was working on this project in 2008. At that time, Windows XP and Vista OS were the latest Windows versions, and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard was released on June 9, 2008. Most operating systems were incompatible with connecting more than 2 displays, whereas an NVIDIA graphics card was supported from 16 to 40 displays.

Why Setup Multiple Monitors for Gaming: Next to fast and cheap internet, what makes for excellent gameplay? It’s seeing everything in action, frame by frame. But on a single screen, that can easily get cramped, especially if you’re sharing your progress to livestream viewers and multitasking.

Streaming: Launch your game and play on one screen, and keep an eye on your Twitch or YouTube stream on another screen. Maintain excellent gameplay while staying on top of audience comments or controlling the streaming software.

Simulators: Playing a particularly engaging game? Multiple monitors extend your display and provide a wider field of vision, creating a fully immersive experience.

Multitasking: Playing while running other tasks in the background? Multiple monitors allow you to keep everything on screen, so you never lose track of everything you need to do.

Higher resolution: With monitors featuring impressive specs in terms of size, resolution, and refresh rate, you can have an excellent gaming experience and earn improved game stats.

During the drag: Display 2 is dragged over display 1. As display 2 crosses the clone threshold (dropzone), display 1 changes to show a preview of the clone configuration.

After the release:Both displays are shown as sub-components of the logical clone display. The drop target (display 1) is assumed to be the clone primary and will determine the resolution of both displays. The gray box around the displays represents the relative size and position (geometry) of the cloned displays).The logical display remains selected.

The icons in the geometry area should be drawn as large as possible without consuming the full height or width of the canvas. A margin around them is required to allow dragging the icons for geometry changes.
The icons will need to be redrawn 1) when a checkbox in the display table is checked/cleared 2) upon releasing the mouse button after a drag operation 3) as a result of a hotplug event

inside microsoft windows XP

Win2000/XP have 'Dualview' (Extended desktop) mode that supported only two displays as separate devices. Maximizing the window in the first display does not maximise the window in the second display. Windows XP is pre-configured to use Dualview mode with multiple monitors (Win2000 is not).

NVIDIA Graphics card support:
NVidia's horizontal/vertical Span ('Big desktop') and Clone. NVidia nView supports Dualview(Extended Desktop), clone and span modes. Dualview is a 'native' windows mode that can be used with separate graphics cards, 'Span' and 'Clone' are only supported on certain multi-output graphics cards. For separate cards, NVidia recommend that the same GPU be used and the same driver MUST be used.
